Overview
Discover Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park on this 4-day tour from Nairobi with transfers from the city’s hotels. You’ll go deep into the African plains and set out on daily game drives across the parks. All the “Big Five” are here, along with many other mammals and birds. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of flamingos and white rhinos along the lake.

Itinerary
After breakfast at the lodge, head to Masai Mara National Reserve, named after the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area. “Mara,” meaning “spotted” in the Maasai language, aptly describes the diverse landscape of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows. This reserve is renowned worldwide for its abundant population of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest from the Serengeti (known as the Great Migration), occurring from July to October. Your meals and overnight stay will be at the Elangata Olerai Camp.

You’ll spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara. Other activities available at an extra cost include a visit to a local Maasai village for a cultural experience or a hot air balloon ride over the reserve’s ecosystem. All meals and your overnight stay will be at the Elangata Olerai Camp.
